The Wire FM’s Toy Appeal 2016 is once again proudly sponsored by Runcorn Shopping Centre and was launched on Monday 14th November with the doors of the drop of unit at the shopping centre being opened and supported by 80’s Pop artist Sonia who is currently in the area rehearsing for this year’s Pantomime Cinderella playing the role of Fairy Superior. Various mascots from around the community also joined in with the fun and everyone involved are hoping that this year’s appeal will be the best yet.
Wire FM resident DJ Dominic Walker was on site to entertain the shoppers and carry out live broadcasting from the Toy Appeal unit.
This Friday is Remembrance Day, and at 11am we’ll be having two minute’s silence to show our respect to the fallen members of the armed forces. To show our respect, we’ve created a Remembrance Park, filled with facts, memories and, of course, poppies to give thanks to those who gave their lives for our country.
If you’ve purchased a poppy, why not come down and place it on our poppy sculpture? We hope you can make it to pay your respects, and learn about the brave men and women who gave their lives for our future.
Did you know… this year marked the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, the first day of which holds the record for the most war deaths in a single day.
Here at Runcorn Shopping Centre, we’re proud to offer a wide range of shops for you to browse at your leisure. Each one of our entrances is accessible by ramp, and we feature disabled and infant & parent spots in our car park to make it easy for everyone to indulge in some retail therapy. Take a look at our detailed map so you can plan your visit, or check out or mall guide to shop by category. Whatever you’re looking for, you’re sure to find it and more at Runcorn Shopping Centre.
